One of Chris’s high-resolution images of the Grand Canyon is installed on the walls of the House floor in the Arizona House of Representatives Capitol building. At 13.5 feet high and 88 feet long, consisting of 22 panels, it transforms the House floor.

Shot over 25 days in Bandar Seri Begawan, Chris photographed the BN40 Gigapixel project featuring thousands of people representing Brunei’s diverse culture, heritage, and progress. It captures 88 unique scenes depicting Bruneian life in 2024, including: The Royal Wedding Procession of His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and YAM Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah binti Adam, the state visit of the President of the Republic of Singapore, highlighting Brunei’s international significance and showcased a rich tapestry of Brunei’s past and future, from cultural heritage to the dynamic energy of its youth.

The workshop, hosted at Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas, catered to both amateur and veteran photographers. Collacott’s visit is part of the BN40 project, a gigapixel photo initiative celebrating Brunei’s 40th National Day. The High Commission of Canada partially sponsored Collacott’s participation, highlighting the strong diplomatic ties between the two nations.
